Volunteer for a Program

Back to School

The Back to School program begins in July with the collection of supplies.  Within a two-week period in mid-August the supplies are unpacked and separated; then the backpacks are filled for the appropriate grade level and sorted for distribution.

Various ways to be a part of this program?

  • Host a drive/collection at your parish:
    Cash donation drive
    School supplies and backpack drive
  • Assist in assembling the backpacks
  • Assist in distribution to our friends in need

Meal Program

St. Vincent de Paul Waukesha County partners with the Hope Center in providing financial support and staffing to serve a nutritious hot meal each Monday evening to the homeless, indigent, and the needy in the City of Waukesha. Vincentian members and their volunteers serve as volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer for the Monday Evening Meal Program, contact your closest Catholic Church and ask to speak to a St. Vincent de Paul member to learn how to get involved.

Other organizations provide evening meals at the Hope Center on Wednesdays and Fridays.

If you are interested in volunteering on a Wednesday or Friday, contact the Hope Center at (262) 549-8726.

Summer Lunch Program

The Summer Lunch Program provides a bag lunch and beverage to school age children and their parents Monday – Friday in the park behind Saratoga Stem School in Waukesha during the entire school summer break.  Vincentian members and their volunteers prepare the food at their parish and bring it to the park to serve between 12:00 am – 12:30 pm.

If you would like to volunteer for the Monday Evening Meal Program, contact your closest Catholic Church and ask to speak to a St. Vincent de Paul member to learn how to get involved.
